Presentation transcript:

LA1- Lesson 53 Sight Word Review

Sight Words A sight word is a word that does not always sound like it is spelled. We see sight words all of the time in our reading so we have to memorize (or remember) them. It will help us become better readers!

We have learned a lot of sight words during this class but we haven’t learned ALL of them! Did you know there are 220 sight words! We didn’t have time to learn them all!

Here is a really fun song that uses a lot of the sight words that we know. The words are on the bottom of the screen so, since you have been practicing, read them and sing along!

I am going to attach the sheets of all of the sight words in order from the first ones you should learn all the way to the most difficult. I want you to print them off one at a time and choose 10 words at a time to work on. You will already know a lot of the ones that we have learned in class.

Once you have those 10 completely memorized, pick 10 more. Every time you complete all of the words on a sheet, go to the next sheet. You are going to be sight word STARS in no time!!

Homework Print off your first sight word sheet and circle the words you are going to work on this week.

Our Class Song Thanks for learning little stars Do you know how smart you are? So many things to see and do, Learning is fun for me and you. Up in that big brain of yours, Is the key to unlock all doors. Do your best and concentrate, I’m so proud, you’re doing great. Thanks for learning little stars Do you know how smart you are?
