Mission The Monterey County Office of Education provides the leadership, support and service excellence needed to prepare the diverse students of Monterey County for success in each step of their educational journey. Vision Every student’s educational experience will prepare them for success as productive and contributing members of our global society. PURPOSE OF EVALUATION RUBRICS LCFF legislation calls for evaluation rubrics: To assist local education agencies to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas that require improvement To assist County Offices of Education to identify school districts and charter schools in need of technical assistance To assist the State Superintendent in identifying school districts for which intervention is warranted To reflect a holistic, multidimensional assessment of school district and individual school site performance and include all of the state priorities To include standards for school district and individual school site performance and expectation for improvement in regard to each of the state priorities

STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION POLICY STATEMENTS All students are provided with access and opportunities that support learning All students are college and career ready, exhibiting early and continuing signs of college and career readiness All students graduate from high school

CONTENT FOR THE EVALUATION RUBRICS Information – Introduction, Descriptions, Indicators Standards – Research-supported practices, System of assessment for outcomes and growth Analysis – Strengths, Weaknesses, Areas in Need of Improvement – Trends and Relationship of Metrics

FEEDBACK FROM PILOT DISTRICTS Relevance – Is the presented information relevant to planning, implementation, and monitoring that leads to improvement in student outcomes? Usefulness – Is the presented information useful to improving student outcomes? Application – How would you envision using the rubrics in your work?
