Today we’ll be talking about 4 things:
Meridith will discuss the FOCUS 2015 goals,
The Chancellor will review the fall 2009 University priorities and ideas for future priorities.
We will be taking a little different approach this year. The UP’s that will be presented are already underway. We welcome your comments on them, but we’d like to focus our discussion on ideas you have for future Priorities we can implement to achieve the FOCUS 2015 goals.
We will be taking the feedback you provide today and use it in the next several summer retreats as we look to develop new priorities.

This is a copy of our planning model. It is grounded in the M,V,V – and these remain fairly stable over time.
Every 5 years, we do the next 3 things on the chart – we kick off our planning process with a stakeholder visioning session. We use the feedback from that and the listening sessions to develop goal statements.
In order to achieve our goals, we have action plans and University Priorities. We use performance indicators to assess success in achieving our goals – and we monitor progress every 6 months

Develop a multi-year recruitment and retention plan which supplements current efforts with specific focus on Students of Color (particularly Hmong and Hispanic), Veterans, and Non-Traditional Populations.
