Learner Information and Advice Learners can get confidential information and advice on a range of issues. Drop-in advice on:benefits, health and wellbeing, housing, counseling and advice on a range of emotional issues, Fees, Funding, Childcare, Bursaries, hardship, grants, 24+ Loans, etc. 19+ Information Booklet available under Tutorial Support and Resources on MOODLE and from the Drop-in Events and workshops: Faiths and Beliefs Awareness, Adult Learners Week, Health and well-being. CHILDCARE How to Apply You must have been offered a place on a College course prior to making the application. Complete a Childcare Application Form (available from reception and Room B002 in Clapham, B200B Vauxhall HUB, Brixton Reception) Return the completed form with the necessary documentation You will be notified of the result of your application by the Senior Nursery Manager by or letter to your home address. Important Information The money is paid directly to an Ofsted registered childcare provider only Do not make any financial arrangements with childcare providers before you receive a decision on your application as you may become liable for costs you cannot pay All learners are expected to make a weekly contribution of £20.00 per child and £10 for subsequent children The College reserves the right to withdraw provision where a learner’s attendance is deemed to be unsatisfactory. Complex situations will be considered by the panel.

What is available? Eligible adult learners may receive a Bursary Bursaries are only available to home (not international) learners who are: Aged 19 or over, and Enrolled on a course of at least 12 guided learning hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks, and On a low income - £250 (net) or less a week How to Apply Complete an application form available from or contact Learner Information and Advice Office for an application form. You will need to provide: Proof of residency Relevant evidence of household income your own bank account details Important Information The College has limited funds and not all applications are successful You will be notified of the outcome of your application by the Finance Department by letter to your home address or by Your attendance will need to be 90% or higher College Bursary

The Sexual Health Service is available on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 11.45am – 2pm (Room TBC) (Speak to Learner Information and Advice for details) A FREE and CONFIDENTIAL service for year olds – open to students regardless of gender, sexuality or religion Contraception & emergency pill STI testing Pregnancy testing Advice & referrals

Safeguarding Everyone has the right to be and feel safe If you have any concerns about your wellbeing (e.g. bullying, abuse or self-harm) you must report them immediately to a member of the Safeguarding Team. Vauxhall HUB Room B200B Clapham HUB The Street Open to students during break and lunchtimes The HUB is where learners can: o Get advice and support from the Tutorial Learning Coach Team o Carry out quiet study, either in groups or alone o Play games such as table tennis o Watch TV and Film o Relax o Attend events such as conferences, workshops and information sessions o Listen to music o Socialise with friends NB: No eating in the HUB
