5. PREVENT Part of the UK Counter Terrorism Strategy 2015
It is about reducing or eliminating the risk of individuals becoming involved in terrorism
Pursue: stopping terrorist attacks
Protect: strengthen our protection against terrorist attacks
Prepare: preparing for the impact of a terrorist attack
Prevent: stop people becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism
ECC has a duty to talk to all students about the meaning of PREVENT, radicalisation and extremism and how we can support those that might be vulnerable to it.

6. Radicalisation and Extremism
What is radicalisation?
A process whereby someone has their vulnerabilities exploited toward crime or terrorism, most often by a third party with their own agenda
What is extremism?
Extremist beliefs are those which directly contravene values fundamental to British culture and society.

At ECC we do not encourage smoking, however we do have smoking shelters for you if you wish to smoke.
Vaping and smoking is permitted outside 5 metres away from a public building
