Files & Folders management 1. Create files or folders 2. Rename files or folders 3. Move files or folders 4. Delete files or folders 5. Search the files and folders 6. Restore files and folders

Definition of folder and file A file folder is a storage unit that can contain a collection of files or even other folders. A sheet of paper represents an individual file. E,g. Any document typed on word is a word file, audio files video files etc 

Create files or folders  Right click, new, name the folder  Select location, Alt+F, new, name the folder  Select location, file menu, new, name the folder Rename files or folders  Select file, click twice at certain interval (not rapid), rename the folder  Select folder, file menu, rename, name the folder  Select folder, right click, rename, name.

Move files or folders  Click file /folder, drag and drop to folder of choice  Right click folder, copy, choose folder, paste  Highlight file/ folder, control C, open new location, control V. Delete files or folders  Select files, press delete key, yes to confirm  Right click folder, delete, yes to confirm

Deleting permanently Delete files and folder from the recycle bin To restore right click on the folder to restore and click restore ( get back to the location from where you have deleted) Search files Start, search, all files/folder, type name,find, restore.
