 Wash hands BEFORE entering the Computer Lab.  Eat all food and drink all beverages BEFORE entering Computer Lab.  Use bathroom BEFORE Technology Class.  Wait for instructions BEFORE starting lessons.  Stay in seat while working unless you have permission to get up.  Log off and push in chairs BEFORE leaving class.

 Mrs. Jenkins  Yourself  Your School  Your Computers  Your Classmates  BY:  Walking inside the room  Sneezing/Coughing into elbow  Washing hands

 Listen when your teacher is talking.  During instruction time do not use any part of the computer.  Follow directions quickly and quietly.  Raise your hand prior to speaking.  Ask for permission prior to helping others.  You may not touch your neighbor’s computer. Use your words only. Be Safe. Be Kind. Be Honest.

 1 st Offense = Warning and name on the board.  2 nd Offense = 5 minutes computer time out.  3 rd Offense = Loss of computer time for the remainder of the class. Both homeroom teacher and parents will be notified of student’s choices.  4 th Offense = Student will be sent to the principal’s office. Be Safe. Be Kind. Be Honest.

 Students must follow all rules in the Internet Acceptable Use Policy as outlined. “I understand the importance of being polite, respectful, honest, and the need to obey the rules for the use of the computer and the Internet. I also know I should not give out personal information about myself or my family over the Internet. I understand that the computer, the Internet and other electronic information resources are to be used for educational purposes.”  Failure to follow all rules may result in loss of computer use during technology class.

Equipment:  NCS computers and accessories are property of the school and need to be treated as such.  Students are not to hit or damage computers and their accessories.  If a student does not follow the technology rules and breaks equipment the student and their family are responsible for replacing said equipment.  No student is allowed to add or remove software to any NCS computer without permission. This includes changing the colors or the "look" of the computer. Altering a NCS computer is equivalent to rearranging a teacher's desk.

Cyber bullying:  Students are not allowed to use NCS equipment to verbally attack another student, NCS, or it's staff.  Students are not allowed to create posts, s and documents that paint another student in an unflattering light or hurts another student’s feelings.  If a student uses NCS equipment to verbal attack another student there will be immediate consequences. Parents will be notified the first time this happens and possibly suspension.

Electronic Files:  Students are never allowed to enter another students‘ or teachers' files, folder or flash drive for any reason without permission.  Students are not to change or delete another student's electronic files or change folder names thus hiding student work.  Altering anything electronically is the same as stealing and destruction of property and will be treated as such.

Basically

I Will NOT…  I will not give out my password or use someone else’s password.  I will not damage or change any of the hardware or software on any school computer.  I will not use my personal account or visit chat rooms.  I will not download anything from the internet without my teacher’s permission.  I will not look at or copy other people’s saved work.

I WILL…..  I will use the computers for school work only.  I will use polite language on the internet.  I will follow my teacher’s directions.  I will use school approved websites and not others.  I will cite sources and give credit to authors during my research.

 If I find an inappropriate internet website I will tell the teacher then disconnect.  I will never give out personal information while on the internet.  I will never talk to strangers on the internet unless instructed to do so by my teacher.

 I will learn something new everyday.  I will ALWAYS do my best and….  I WILL have fun!
