FADS Something new in fashion for only a short period of time. 1920’s 1940’s 1950’s1960’s 1970’s 1980’s 2005 ?!?!

CLASSIC A traditional style that stays in fashion for a long time. Blazer jacket, blue jeans, cardigan sweater, polo shirts

FASHION CYCLE Born: someone begins to wear it (celebrity, magazine, peers) Matures: many people start to wear it Decline: style is overused and becomes boring Fast fashion cycle = FAD Slow fashion cycle = TREND
