2 Terms to Know  Fashion The particular style of clothing that is popular at a given time.  Fad Something new that is popular for only a short time.  Classic A style that stays in fashion for a long time.

4  Style Type of garment that has specific characteristics that make it unique.  Fashion Trend The direction in which a particular change or fashion is moving.  Fashion Cycle The return of specific styles and shapes  Trendsetter A person who takes the lead or set an example

8  Technology The manner of accomplishing a task using current technical methods or knowledge.  Economics How a society chooses to produce, distribute, and consume its good and services.

9  Ready-to-wear clothing made in factories in standard sizes.  Haute Couture a French phrase for high fashion. Couture means dressmaking, sewing, or needlework and haute means elegant or high, so the two combined imply excellent artistry with the fashioning of garments
