Working Group 3 Murmansk

SC structure – Assessment context has to be more elaborate and detailed – Optimization. Provide justification based on the document provided by regulatory working group includes graded approach and evolution of the SC Strategy – Waste management options + cost and radiological risk – Alternative scenarios + uncertainties Management system – Resources (Human + education + training programs – Safety culture – Leadership – Recordkeeping + quality assurance and control – Integrated management system – Description of the process – Independent assessment Emergency plan/radioprotection – Classification of the radioprotection zones – Survey program – Monitoring system description(personal protection equipment) – Alarm systems (fire, light, etc) – Central alarm station + medical center Next step for the waste – Waste form characterization (amount, number of sources, etc) – Record waste information – Waste acceptance criteria + conditioning in the site – Non-radiological – Transport system

SC structure – Assessment context has to be more elaborate and detailed – Suggest to use the document provided by regulatory working group includes “graded approach and evolution of the SC” and use the graded approach for justification

Strategy – Develop waste management options taking into account the cost and radiological risk of each option – Develop alternative scenarios taking into account the uncertainties

Management system – Resources (Human + education + training programs – Safety culture – Leadership – Recordkeeping + quality assurance and control – Integrated management system – Description of the process – Independent assessment

Emergency plan/radioprotection – Classification of the radioprotection zones – Survey program – Monitoring system description(personal protection equipment) – Alarm systems (fire, light, etc) – Central alarm station + medical center

Next step for the waste – Mention the different wastes tram management in the country and their specific WAC – Investigate and provide much more information about the source term waste form characterization (amount, number of sources, etc) Record waste information Amount of wastes that will be produced (contaminated water, bulk, contaminated packages and concrete,…) – Waste acceptance criteria and investigated if conditioning process are needed on the site – Investigate presence of non-radiological (others regulatory bodies) – Investigate transport system
