It can’t be omitted. 3.In conversation you can use that instead of who/which. 4.who, which, and that are often omitted when the verb after the relative pronoun has a different subject, especially in conversations. The woman (who) I met last week has six children.

Complete with who or which if necessary. 1.Is that the film ____ you saw last week? 2.Is that the film ____ won seven Oscars? 3.The man ____ you met is our neighbour. 4.The man ____ lives next door makes a lot of noise. 5.A close friend is someone ____ you can trust. 6.A close friend is someone ____ will help you in a crisis. 7.I work for a company ____ makes furniture. 8.That’s the company ____ I work for.

Make sentences with which, who, whose, or where 1.That’s the shop. They sell Italian food there. 2.We stopped to help a man. His car had broken down. 3.It’s a new kid of car. It doesn’t use petrol. 4.I like restaurants. They don’t play music there. 5.She’s the person. She won the competition. 6.I complained to the man. His dog was always barking. 7.At the party I met a girl. Her father is president of a bank.

What annoys you? Add the appropriate relative pronoun in the gap. Neighbors _______ make a lot of noise. Noisy parties _______ go on until very late. Shops or pubs _______ they play loud disco music. Car alarms _______ owners don’t switch them off. A kind of pollution _______ you can’t see but which affects us all.
