KOICA CLIMATE CHANGE PROGRAM Identify an “East Asian Low Carbon Development Path” leading to a synergy between climate and the economy Raise awareness re – climate change and build capacity for combating its impact Contribute to solving climate change issue and achieving the MDGs (KOICA, 2009) OBJECTIVES: EAST ASIA CLIMATE PARTNERSHIP

KOICA CLIMATE CHANGE PROGRAM APPROACHES Selection of the best-suited theme and scheme to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of the assistance program Pilot projects in renewable energy will be implemented New technology will be disseminated Regional adaptation strategies will be applied for awareness – raising and capacity building Framework for energy policy consultations and financial support will be established (KOICA, 2009)
