3 ASEAN consist of :  ten nations in South East Asia  covering an area (4.5 million sq km)  total population  530 million people  GNP of about US $ 312 billion and per capita of US $ 496  average economic growth rate 5.5% (1980-1990) and FDI grew as fast as 40% Bali Concord II 2003 declared that ASEAN aims to become a single market
