The Immigrant Walk is a Tribute to all those who left their homes in Europe and Established New Roots Here in the heart of Central New York
W hether they came by boat in the 1880’s or 1940’s or by plane in the 1980’s
E very single immigrant has become part of our area’s immigrant History
M aking a distinctive Contribution to our community.
Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me: I lift my lamp beside the golden door.
T his unique brick walk, designed to Encircle the new front Garden has been created by the non profit Polish Community Center of the Mohawk Valley as a way for recent immigrants to Record their entry or for their Descendants to honor the Memory of their family
B y adding a name you are not only Honoring your or your family’s Contribution,
but you are also helping the non-profit foundation that is working hard to maintain the Footprint of our immigrant Past and promising Future
