Due Process Meeting Class of 2016 – Seniors!

We will be covering… Attendance Tardies Dress Code Zero Tolerance Cheating School Respect Senior Parking Senior Profiles!!! Misc College Application Process

Attendance & Tardies All day absences cleared in 3 days Bring a note or have parents call in. It is your responsibility to have your parents do clear your absence. Period absences must be cleared the next day or you will receive a detention Overslept or Traffic is still considered unexcused ALWAYS check IN and OUT through attendance if you arrive LATE or leave EARLY no matter what the reason You're allowed 3 “Emergency Tardies” per period per semester – DETENTION on 4 th, 5 th and 6 th Tardy – SWAP on 7 th and 8 th Tardy – STAR on 9 th Tardy – SUSPENSION on 10 th Tardy Every teacher has different policy Tardy Sweeps = Automatic detention if you are out of class without a pass Need to see GLC – Always check in with teacher first and get permission to come and see us Missed Detention = SWAP Missed SWAP = STAR

Dress Code Shoes must be worn at all times. Clothing must conceal undergarments at all times Girls – No tube tops or strapless tops. No Halter tops. You must have a strap over both shoulders. No short shirts. Guys – No inappropriate symbol's or sayings on T- shirts. No Hats or Hoods are allowed. Hats or caps with a DBHS logo can be worn if it is school issued SWAP – Dress Code and/or Phone Detention – No books, Tardies, etc

1.The following offenses are an automatic suspension: a. Acts of intimidation or threats b. Stealing or receiving stolen goods c. Vandalism d. Harassment – behavior, comments, looks that are inappropriate to someone else e. Defiance f. Smoking g. Fighting Zero Tolerance

1.The following are offenses that will result in an automatic suspension and transfer to Hockwalt Academies and/or expulsion a. Drug Use or Possession b. Weapons or Look Alike weapons c. Under the Influence Zero Tolerance cont.

Behavior How you act, what you do will be crucial to success at DBHS! - Think about your decisions - Think of consequences and expect to serve those consequences - Think about how your behavior will influence others You are expected to be polite and respectful to your peers, to teachers, to security staff and all other adults on campus. If you are angry at someone, deal with the situation with respect and then come talk to your GLC. - If you are disrespectful to a staff member for any reason, you will receive serious consequences. If you have a problem with another student, do not try and handle it yourself. Come to your GLC to talk about the problem. REMEMBER – NO FIGHTING IS TOLERATED ON OR OFF CAMPUS. Trash. Do your part in helping keep this campus looking great!

Personal Property You have your own Lockers and Books – DO NOT share your lockers – DO NOT share your books Cell phones – Use during Lunch and Brunch – DO NOT have out during class. – The following can get you SWAPs. Phone seen by teacher during class. (The reason it is out does not matter.) Phone seen by any staff member during class time. Such as walking to the restroom or out of class with a hall pass. Expensive Items – Leave at Home!!!

Cheating Whether you are the one cheating or the one providing the answers, both of you are cheating. 1 st incident – “0” on assignment or test and a Performance Contract is signed 2 nd incident – may result in suspension and a “0” on assignment or test Senior Profile could be in Jeopardy!!!

School Respect 1.Show respect to all adults on the DBHS campus and those campus you visit 2.If you get a referral, regardless of wether you feel it is justified, do not argue the point. Take the referral and go directly to your GLC or to the Guidance Office. 3.Show respect to all peers on campus. 1.Be Polite and maintain an positive environment. 4.If you or a friend needs help with any issues, please see a GLC and let us help you find a way to resolve it.

Food All food on campus must either be bought here or brought from home when you arrive to school for the day. No outside food is allowed on campus. Cannot leave campus and bring food back. ID Cards You are expected to have your ID card on you at all times If you are out of class, you must have a hall pass. No LDP – You either stay or receive a detention by going through the attendance office. DO NOT HAND OFF TO ANTOHER STUDENT! This is a privilege.
