Students without a 5th or 6th period need to leave campus after their last period ends. If you need to stick around one day, go to the lower lunch area or the amphitheater. You are not allowed to wander campus.

11 Cheating/Plagiarism :-(
Teacher sends student to the GLC and gives student a ZERO! GLC Places Student On A Cheating Contract. On Second Offense, Student Is Suspended. May influence recommendations to colleges. Providing answers is CHEATING!

12 Referrals Take the referral directly to your GLC. Do not make a situation worse by arguing or making a scene. If your GLC is not in their office, do not just sit and wait around. Take the referral immediately to the Guidance Office. If you fail to report to your GLC or the Guidance Office, the consequence will increase.

13 Detentions and Swaps If you can’t make your detention or SWAP, let us know beforehand! We can work with your schedule. If you don’t show up and there has been no communication…uh-oh. If you miss a detention, it becomes a SWAP If you miss a SWAP, it becomes a day in STAR

14 Cell Phones/Earbuds/etc.
Cellphones are never to be used in class. Your phone should be powered down or put on silent mode before entering a classroom. The phone needs to remain in your purse or backpack throughout the ENTIRE class. Students that are caught using their cell phone during class time will receive one hour of SWAP for a first offense. Students that continue to violate the cell phone policy will receive multiple hours of SWAP or a day in STAR. This applies to iPods/MP3 players, etc. You are free to use your cell phone: Before school After school Brunch Lunch Use social media responsibly!

17 Attendance/ABSENCES Have parents call attendance office the day of the absence. If NOT cleared within three days, absence turns into truancy (full-day cutting)… hour missed=hour owed   Notes will be accepted but the office prefers a phone call.  If you are ever out of class without an excuse, you’ll have to make the hour up in detention or SWAP.

18 FIRST PERIOD ABSENCES We can’t accept transportation, baby-sitting, or “I didn’t wake up on time” as an excused absence.  The consequence for a first period unexcused absence will result in a detention, or one hour for each period missed.  Be CAREFUL, when you accumulate unexcused absences, you may be suspended and referred to district office.

19 ARRIVING LATE AND LEAVING EARLY
Sign in AND out at the attendance office when arriving late AND leaving early.  Failure to follow these directions may result in a detention or swap. Leaving campus without permission will be SWAPS, detentions, susp. or a combination.
