Here is an example of a previous students sketchbook presentation. This power point is also an adapted presentation two students made.

Who was William Morris? He was born in 1834 and died at the age of 60 in William Morris was a poet and an artist who designed many pieces of art, such as: stained glass windows and wallpaper. He worked and lived like any other person in the Victorian era and then found his talent. He was creative and imaginative as he produced different pieces of art work.

Married life In 1859 William Morris married Jane Burden. Right after their marriage they built a house in Bexley Heath. They named it ‘Red house’ and it was designed by Philip Webb. But Phillip didn't do all the hard work, Jane and William chose all the interiors and decorations for the house. It took them two years, they wanted it to be perfect and most of the work was done by them. After they designed this house they made there own craft work company.

Morris, Marshall,Faulkner and co. The company produced tableware, furniture, wallpaper and all these products were handmade.by 1865 William concentrated on designing and producing wallpaper. All his patterns were based on the natural world, and these were his best-known works of art.

In 1891, Morris founded the Kelmscott Press, named after the village near Oxford where he had lived since The Kelmscott Press produced high quality hand-printed books to be seen and cherished as objects d'art. Morris designed and cut the typefaces, ornamental borders and title pages which were based on the style of medieval manuscripts, while the illustrations were created by the Pre-Raphaelite artist, Edward Burne-Jones. The books were printed on handmade paper, copied from 15th century Italian samples, and bound in vellum. The Kelmscott Press

Poetry Even though William was an artist, he wrote poetry in his spare time: I am Winter, that do keep Longing safe amidst of sleep: Who shall say if I were dead What should be remembered?

Famous quote- This was a quote that William said himself:
