Evidence Brought Against Criminal  Had been attending gun shows and had been at Waco, Texas during the siege urging pro gun rights.  Police traced Vehicle Identification Number back to sales man and were given a name(false name Tim used)  Police had drawn a sketch of what he might have looked like, local manager of hotel idenitified him as Tim McVeigh  Pulled over by state trooper for not having plates  Arrested same day for having a concealed weapon and driving without plates

Theory that explains behavior:  The theory that explains this behavior is the Anomie theory because Tim Mcveigh was rebelling against society. He had been kicked out of the army and didn’t like the governments treatment of the Waco Siege. He had always been bullied and was always trying to reach a goal of his. Over time his goals changed though, from getting back the bullies to gun rights to getting back the government.

Theory continued:  Tim thought that the government was preventing him and others from achieving in society. He wanted to show them that things could be done to prevent this. He lashed out against society and broke down the barriers that society put up. He had lacked the opportunities to succeed and didn’t like where it was getting him or society.
