What does an architect do? Architects design houses, buildings, schools, churches, airports, and more. Architects work to make sure buildings are safe and strong.

How do you get ready to become a architect? You need to get a college degree. You also need to get an architecture license. You also need to complete an internship to become an architect.

How much does an architect get paid? The average yearly salary of architects in 2008 was $76,750.

Why I want to become an architect I want to become an architect because I like planning and building things. I have the skills to be an architect, and I think I would be very good at it. When I am an architect, I would like to plan and build my own house.
