Strategies for Mental and Physical Preparation 1. Get plenty of sleep the night before 2. Eat a good breakfast 3. Arrive 5-10 minutes early 4. Know what to expect on the test 5. Have confidence in your abilities 6. Know how the test will be scored 7. Plan your attack

Preparing for the Test 1. What will the test look like? 2. What material will be covered? 3. How will you study? 4. When will you study? 5. What grade are you honestly working to achieve?

During the Test Concentrate Read and follow directions Schedule your time Work at a good pace Think-use knowledge, logic, common sense Ignore students who leave early Use strategies for success

After the Test Analyze your preparation What did you do well? What would you like to do better next time? Analyze the test Was the test what you expected? Did you prepare for this test? What worked well? Analyze your performance What were your strengths, weaknesses?
