2 Why learning conversions?
The metric system provides a universal language for measurement that can be understood regardless of where you are from or what language you speak.

3 What is happening in the U.S.?
The United States, however, has not completely embraced the metric system, and so many items in the U.S. are still measured in English units. Other items, however, are sold in metric units, such as bottled sodas. The mixture of systems can be confusing. Better Organization

Converting between Metric and English units is, in fact, easily done. Before you learn how, you first need to learn the symbols used in both the metric and English systems for properties such as mass, length, volume, and temperature.
