lavishly (adverb) Definition: generously; plentifully Context sentences: The table was heaped lavishly with food. They spent money lavishly, buying anything they wanted at any price

mortified (verb used as adjective) Definition: ashamed; deeply embarrassed Context sentences: Mortified by her family’s behavior, she fled to the ladies’ room. Mortified by his mistake, Hank hung his head in shame.

spectacle (noun) Definition: remarkable sight Context sentences: The narrator fears that her noisy brother is making a spectacle of himself. The fantastic fireworks display was a spectacle that we’ll never forget.

etiquette (noun) Definition: acceptable manners and behavior Context sentences: Slurping is not proper etiquette in a fancy restaurant. Some people say that licking your fingers is not good etiquette.
