Progress to  Creation of Exploratory Committee – March 27 Active group of building owners and operators, developers, and community and professional stakeholders  Designation as Emerging 2030 District – April 24 Formal listing on 2030 District website; access to National 2030 District Network; additional resources from Architecture 2030  Working Group Meetings and Benchmarking – Throughout the Summer Working groups met focused at building performance, transportation benchmarking, District resources, and District structure and governance. Also undertook process of building District baseline through assigning 2003 CBECS values to majority of buildings located in District footprint  National 2030 District Summit Attended National 2030 District Network Summit in Cleveland; had the opportunity to assess national best practices and network with other 2030 District leaders

Participation  Advisory Committee Will oversee activities of the Grand Rapids 2030 District Should include at least 40% building developers/ owners/ operators; 20% professional stakeholders; and 20% community stakeholders  Building Performance Working Group Will review building data and assist building developers/ owners/ operators in submitting data Will also develop and implement water reporting protocol  Transportation Working Group Will develop and implement transportation benchmarking process and gather and analyze transportation emissions data  District Resources Working Group Will evaluate resources available to participating building developer/ owners/ operators Will establish and maintain online list serve as a real-time District resource
