4 One-stop shopping @GR2030 The Grand Rapids 2030 District - partnering with utilities, professional stakeholders, lenders, and others – should serve as a point of connection to the various grants, rebate and incentive programs, and financing options available for energy and water upgrades  Utility rebates and incentives Help participating building owners and operators understand what rebates and incentives are available and connect them with the right utility contact person  Financing Provide connections to private sector financing programs such as Michigan Saves, Lean and Green Michigan, and others  Other programs Catalog grants and other incentives available from federal, state, and local governments, private organizations, and others

5 2030 District Network Resources @GR2030  Special Purchasing Alliance Leveraging total 2030 District participation across the nation to negotiate discounts on lighting, software, etc.  Small Commercial Toolkit Currently in pilot phase; launching early 2016 Developed in partnership with Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory

6 Education and training opportunities @GR2030  Education on building benchmarking and performance measurement Assist building operators with learning how to benchmark their buildings and track performance through Portfolio Manager USGBC already doing this through Battle of the Buildings  Training on energy and water efficiency upgrades Provide specific information through professional stakeholders on opportunities to improve building performance Could include regular trainings on specific issue areas (e.g., energy controls, HVAC systems, low-flow water faucets, etc.)

7 Platform for Collaboration @GR2030  Peer-to-peer information sharing Establish moderated online forum to allow peer-to-peer information sharing with other participating building operators Could be structured similar to LEEDuser or other forums Engage voluntary moderators and 2030 District Mentors to ensure timely and accurate responses to information requests  Resource development Provide forum to allow participating stakeholders to co-develop additional District resources that add value  Advocacy Allow a mechanism for stakeholders to engage with a unified voice in advocating for measures that would improve their operations, expand available financing resources, or influence policy discussions
