1 NCSP Workshop for Pacific Island Countries on the Preparation of Second National Communications, July 2007, Apia, Samoa National Communications Support Programme (NCSP) Some Key Points A GEF-funded programme, jointly managed by UNDP and UNEP A six-year timeline; initiated in April 2005 (two years to be formally completed) Intended to provide technical support to Non-Annex I Parties to the UNFCCC for the preparation of NCs With the ultimate goal of assisting countries to improve the technical vigor and policy relevance of the NCs 1
