July 29, 1921 Adolf Hitler assumes control of Nazi Party in Germany. October 27, 1921 Benito Mussolini appointed Italian Premier. November 8, 1932 Franklin D. Roosevelt elected President of the United States. July 18, 1925 Mein Kampf, Hitler's autobiography is published.

July 14, 1933 The Nazi Party becomes the official party of Germany. August 19, 1934 Hitler becomes Fuhrer of Germany. June 11, 1937 Josef Stalin begins rebuilding the Russian "Red Army." October 1, 1936 General Francisco Franco becomes Dictator of Spain.
