2 Hideki Tojo  Tojo became leader of militarists in Japan.  Japan joined Germany and Italy in the Axis Powers.  He believed USA to be lazy and overly materialistic.  Believed Japan should take Pacific lands from Europeans

3 Hideki Tojo  Felt he would have to go to war with US to ensure Japanese Empire.  November 1948, Tojo was put on trial as war criminal.  Found guilty and hanged.

4 Benito Mussolini  Italy- in political and economic crisis, people scared for future  Mussolini had support of middle class –they were seeking stability  1922- march on Rome- Victor Emmanuel made him Prime Minister

5 Benito Mussolini  Promised the middle class job stability.  He promised to drop the unemployment rate.  Promised to rebuild the infrastructure of Italy  wanted everyone to live and work ONLY for the state.
