CUPS Editing C (Capitalization) U (Usage) P (Punctuation) S (Spelling) Sentences begin with a capital letter. Key words in titles and proper nouns are capitalized. Verb tense is consistent. Subjects and verbs agree. No sentence fragments or run- ons were found. Correct end punctuation is used. Commas are used correctly. Dialogue is punctuated correctly with quotes and commas. Words are spelled correctly. Spelling demons are fixed.
