E.G.A. self calibration process occurs once every 24 hours. During this process, the cells are each recalibrated using a zero value, and a span value. The MCERTs E.G.A. also requires a temperature calibration of each cell installed in the unit (provided as an additional temperature calibration code) Changes in ambient temperature cause very slight changes to exhaust gas readings. To compensate for this, each MCERTs cell board is temperature calibrated.
