Presentation Guidelines Find the appropriate theme Appearance can significantly affect the message! Choose words for each slide Less Is More! 7 x 7 Rule (No more than 7 lines with no more than 7 words on each line) It’s best to fit all 7 words on the SAME line Avoid All Caps – takes longer to read – be careful as some fonts change the case to all caps Microsoft Office 2007: Introductory Concepts and Techniques8

Formatting Tips To change the format of ONE WORD, just click inside the word (no need to select it) Triple-clicking selects a paragraph Holding CTRL while selecting allows you to select multiple blocks of text PowerPoint considers a paragraph as text that ends with an PowerPoint adjusts line spacing and text size automatically to fit text Microsoft Office 2007: Introductory Concepts and Techniques13
