3 It is very important to interrupt me if you lose the thread of the argument Otherwise we’re all wasting our time

STAFF me, Hopeman 330, Scott Russell, Hopeman 120, TAs: Kohei Hamano, Jakob Maag-Tanchak During the project phase Scott and I, especially Scott, are on the move.

See me for science See Scott for equipment Scott and I can both approve buying things See Scott and Ruth for how to buy things

GRADING ALGORITHM (TAKEN FROM THE WEB SITE)

Where are the labs? They are all in Gavett Scott will be conducting two tours of the lab space: January 23 at 1700 (first half of the class) January 25 at 1430 (second half of the class)

Ruth

We plan to teach you what you need as we go along The library will help with library skills The Writing Center will help with writing skills Scott and I will talk about instruments I will have things to say about statistics The project page on the web site has a lot of project information Scott and I can give you more There will be an hour on lab safety

You’ll need a lab notebook (one per group), which I’ll talk about today. You’ll need to form groups of three — twos if necessary, no fours! I need this by January 25. We are going to be using a lot of different rooms and a lot of different starting times You’ll need to pay attention to the on-line schedule It has a link to a calendar that I hope is accurate We can breeze through the calendar pages now.

What we are going to do about writing (taken from the web site)
