Student Book and Teacher’s Guide organized into 5 units Unit 1-Unit 3 covers: Decoding Skills, Encoding (Spelling of Multisyllabic Words), Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension Progress monitoring is ongoing (Check-ups and Fluency timings) Unit 4-Unit 5 components: Decoding, Encoding, Fluency, Vocabulary, Comprehension, Progress Monitoring Online Resources Classroom Display Posters Rewards Components

Preskill Lesson Activities (Lessons 1-15) Teacher’s Guide pages F12-F14 Strategy Lesson Activities (Lessons 16-25) Teacher’s Guide pages F15-19 Lesson Presentation Review:

Examine the lessons in the Student book Review the lessons in the Teacher’s Guide Read through the lessons, paying close attention to the Instructional Steps. Check-up Assessments administered after every unit. Make one copy for each student If a student does not pass the check-up lesson, remediate previous lessons and retest. Complete Progress Monitoring Form and turn in weekly to your Literacy Coaches Before you begin a lesson:
