Safety on the Web How to keep students safe when using technology: www.googleimages.com As educators, we want to allow our students to use resources available to them, however, there are some precautions to remember when students are using the Web. Although school computers are monitored, students may have Internet access outside of school. The next slide will display some guidelines and reminders to share with students before and during their time on the Web.

Safety Guidelines www.googleimages.com Students never need to give out personal information. (name, birthday, age, etc.) Students need to stay away from Internet strangers. Students know not to talk to strangers face-to-face, but they need to apply this same knowledge on the Internet. Students should always tell their teacher and parents what sites they visit. Students should only visit appropriate sites for children. Students should not cyber bully or become the victim of a cyber bully. http://ikeepsafe.org/
