How to Grow Morning Glory Plants Morning Glory plants like full sun. They will grow in average to poor soils. Add compost prior to planting, if your soil is poor.

Sowing the seeds First, sow Morning Glory seeds early in the season and cover lightly with 1/4" of soil. Then, water thoroughly after planting.

Spread the shoots Once they start growing thin or space plants to a final distance of 6" apart.

Fertilise Use a general purpose fertilizer when planting them, then once a month after that.

Watering Keep soil moist but not wet Water once a week if no rain Add mulch
