2 Getting and Storing Water
Plants grow in all kinds of environments. An environment is everything that surrounds and affects a living thing. Plants have special features to help them survive! Look at page 24!

3 In warm, wet places with wet soil plants need special roots.
Prop Roots Grow above wet soil. Buttress Roots Grows on the surface to widen the base of a tree.

4 Plants spread their seeds so they can reproduce.
Spreading Seeds Plants spread their seeds so they can reproduce. Reproduce just means to make a new living thing of the same kind! Seeds are the first step.
