12 National TEACH Grant The TEACH Grant can help you pay for college if you plan to become a teacher in a high-need field in a low-income area. Up to $4,000/year for 3 rd & 4 th year college students Eligibility Requirements: Must file FAFSA and be a Pell eligible US Citizen or Permanent Resident. 2015–16 TEACH Grant first disbursed before Oct. 1, 2016, the maximum award of $4,000 is reduced by 6.8 percent ($272), resulting in a maximum award of $3,728.

21 How to Apply for Cal Grants? Submit FAFSA or Dream Act by March 2 nd –Or Complete GPA Form: Name, SSN, address, & signature. Take form to Admissions to certify GPA and mail to CSAC before March 2. –Gavilan sends electronic GPA for all students who have completed 18+ units before March 2 –Update Webgrants account to school of enrollment Check with Financial Aid Office at your school to see if you are on their roster!
