10 What are my out of pocket expenses?
Step 1: Review your Financial Aid Award (Award Summary) in your myCI student center Step 2: Review your Account Summary for your total charges (available starting July 1st) or review the Cost of Attendance on the financial aid website (housing costs may vary) Step 3: Determine how much financial aid you are eligible to receive for the Fall 2018 term Step 4: Calculate your out of pocket expenses = Out of pocket expense

11 Additional Options to Cover Balance
If your financial aid grants, scholarships, and student loans do not fully cover your University charges (tuition, fees, on-campus housing and meal plan), the following are additional options to consider… Enroll in a Payment Plan Tuition Installment Payment Plan (TIPP) Housing Installment Payment Plan (HIPP or IPP)

12 Additional Options to Cover Balance
Search for Off-Campus Scholarships A word of caution, if it costs you money to search or apply, it is probably not a legitimate opportunity. Apply for a Direct PLUS Loan So long as their credit is approved, the borrower may request an amount up to the student’s Cost of Attendance minus all other financial aid. Apply for a Private Education Loan This is a credit-based loan and we encourage students to have a co-signer to reduce the variable interest rate.
