Progress Report Form Call: 2014 KA2 – Cooperation and Innovation for Good Practices ERASMUS+ Budapest September, 25 – 27th, 2015 Partners meeting

Summary of interim stage EURO CURE PROJECT: was opened in September, 1 st All national teams of partnership started to communicate and cooperate via internet ( s and skype) and also over the phone during the first period (IX – XI) and they were solving the situational analysis and multiplier events including the Kick-off meeting of partners in the Czech Republic, December, 1 – 3,

Conference, Brno 2014 First multiplier event in Brno, November, 3 – 4th, organized by the main coordinator – Secondary Nursing School and College, České Budějovice in collaboration with Association of Nursing Schools of the Czech Republic. - Participants of Brno event represented Nursing schools from the Czech Republic and also the Slovak Republic.

Presentation of Euro Cure Project The partner of EuroCure project from GEB Berlin presented initial goals and planned activities (“Actions”) contained in the project to all participants of the multiplier event. Kick-off meeting was organized by the head coordinator (Czech partners) in České Budějovice, December, 1 - 3, 2014.

Problems and challenges In January, 2015, the Hungarian partners from Kanizsay Dorottya Egészségügyi Szakképzö Iskola, Budapest, informed other participants of EuroCure project about their resignation and stopping all activities in the international project. The National Agency, Prague, approved an annex of the contract which declares an exchange of Hungarian partner – Raoul Wallenberg Szakközépiskola és Szakiskola, Budapest. The exchange of a partner had no influence on the project process and its strategic goals.

Project Activities: 01 – A1 01/A1 – Preparation, drawing up and implementation of a questionnaire for project partners - topics: situational analysis in the fields of health care in EU countries (seniors and ill people); development of demographic changes in EU countries; professional and vocational education in EU countries; relevant project of EU countries to solve general problems of health care.

Project Activities: 01 – A2 01/A2 – Making a glossary: comparison of relevant terminology using in the partners countries (translation of professional nursing terminology from every native language to the common language – English).

Project Activities: 01 – A3 01/A3 – Formation of project activities 01/A1 + 01/A2 into the final version (final output of the situational analysis). ACTION (OUTPUT) 01 has passed off without any serious problems and obstacles and carried out the current goals and outputs of a project.

Project Activities: 02 – A1 02/A1 – Delivery and translation of curricula (CZ, HU, GE) for partners. The partner – Vivantes Berlin, has translated and compared particular curricula (teaching plans); the partners have started comparing and looking for an intersection point of the professional and vocational nursing education in partners countries with respect to its legislative dissimilarity (different competences and teaching plans in education of nurses).

Job Shadowing - Berlin During Job shadowing activities (Vivantes, Berlin, June, 7 – 13 th ) 15 participants of project partnership (CZ, HU, GE) collaborated in activities 02 and 03. They discussed issues of different competencies and different teaching plans; they prepared on-line language course on the base of gained experience of students participated in 10-days verification language course.

Mobility of Students Students´mobility: May 2015, 18 th – June, 26 th (6 weeks mobility); 12 students (HU – 4; CZ – 8) participated in a training programme of nursing and in a preparation language course in Vivantes, Berlin. The language course was organized by the project partner: Bildung und Sprachen in Europa, Berlin.

PROBLEMS and CHALLENGES: First problem: Immediately before the departure one student of Liberec Nursing School became ill It was necessary to substitute the absent student. Replacement of students has been complicated by two factors: 1. Language competence (German knowledge) 2. Age of 18 up. A diseased girl was replaced by the student of Secondary Nursing School, České Budějovice.

PROBLEMS and CHALLENGES: Second problem: Duration of mobilities (CZ, HU students) Due to organizational and technical problems of Vivantes Berlin regarding an appropriate accommodation for foreign students the project partners have decided to reduce a duration of mobilities from 45 days to 42 days. The National Agency has approved this reduction provided that remaining days (12 students x 3 days) will be utilize in the next reporting period.

PROBLEMS and CHALLENGES: Third problem: Duration of mobilities (GE students). Compulsory professional training of German students is planned (according to the curriculum) just for 5 weeks. The duration of training did not correspond with the requirement of EuroCure project (1 student/45 days; number of students – 4). In August the National Agency, Prague, approved the change of German students´mobility – 5 students/5 weeks´ practice. The mobilities will pass through in the Czech Republic and Hungary, September, 2015.

CONCLUSION: The EuroCure project is proceeding with several minor problems of technical and organizational nature above all. The main problem seems to be differences in professional nursing education of partners´ countries – particularly between a former model of education of nursing in the Czech Republic and Hungary comparing with different, so called dual system of professional nursing education in Germany. This problem belongs to the most essential issues of negotiations and discussion at the partners meeting in Budapest, September, 25 – 27 th, 2015.

Description of activity implementation: 01-A1: Making the catalogue of questions (questionnaire) for project partners – results published in English (from Czech, Hungarian and German versions): attached on the web sides 01-A2: Making the glossary – parallel recording and comparison of technical (nursing) terminology.

Description of activity implementation: Problems and challenges: incorrect translation from partner native language to English (reason: technical terms do not have appropriate translation in English and on the contrary; English term was translated to the partner language inaccurately). Ambiguities clarified through the videoconference.

Description of activity implementation: 01-A3: Formation of questionnaire and glossary outputs and graphical implementation: The main goal is providing all results of questionnaire and glossary to other nursing and medical schools in EU countries. Implementation is realized via accessible web sides of EuroCure project.
