The Website

The People of God Framework is provided as a full PDF document for each Year, as well as being broken down into specific units for ease of access. An Overview of the whole framework, as well as just the specific year, is available within each year group and the Teacher’s Resource [TR] section. CAFOD have also been involved in the development of the framework and have provided links to their own resources to help support users. FRAMEWORK

The People of God website is designed to be used as a service. To assist our users in adapting our resources, and designing and creating their own with ease, we provide a bank of images from a variety of different themes. Each image has been checked by our team and is provided in high definition where possible. The images can be used in any manner of resource from PowerPoint and Word to video, or enlarged on a projector for further study. IMAGES

All of our files can also be viewed within the site for a ‘quick-look’ at what we are providing. This is very helpful when selecting images, but is also an important tool when deciding to download a particular PowerPoint, Word or PDF document. All you need to do is click on the file image to open up the LightBox. LIGHTBOX

Over time we will be providing more and more video resources to support the framework. These videos, ranging from talking heads Q&A sessions to tutorial videos for use of the site and resources, are all high definition and have been checked by our team. We may also provide videos which have been supplied to us by other sources. These will also be checked thoroughly by our team. All of the videos are downloadable as well as viewable within the site. VIDEOS

All of the videos on the website are viewable through the site using LightBox. By clicking the button to watch, or by clicking the file image, you can view the entire video without waiting for it to download. All of these videos are embedded using YouTube, so if your school or LEA blocks YouTube this will not work for you. Blocking YouTube should not, however, restrict your ability to download the file for viewing. VIDEO LIGHTBOX

We know how prevalent PowerPoint is in schools, and we know how time- consuming it can be, putting together a good one. We have provided a number of simple PowerPoint Presentations that have been designed by our team of RE advisors, teachers and experts in the field, and then crafted with care and attention. The PowerPoint we provide can be used immediately or used as templates to build upon or adapt to suit the needs of your lesson. POWERPOINT

We have also used PowerPoint to create some great pieces of interactive work. These PowerPoints use hyperlinks and buttons, as well as other tools, to create interactive slideshows and ‘point-and-click’ activities. The joy of these interactive activities is, because they use PowerPoint, you can adapt them in any way you wish, or use them as a template to create your own. Remember, this is a service website, not just a resource bank. INTERACTIVE POWERPOINT

These interactive activities cannot be altered by the user and have been created as a ‘standalone’ piece of work. These programmes are only compatible with PCs but work great on an interactive White Board. The WordSplats are simple point and click activities which can be used by individuals or as a group activity. More Interactive resources of various styles will be added as time goes on. INTERACTIVE WORDSPLATS

We are also providing a wide variety of paper- based activities for use in class. These activities are provided as PDF documents for design reasons and so are very difficult to alter. However, all of the activities are perfect to use as templates for your own work if they do not provide what you need themselves. All of these activities are designed by the same group of writers who created the People of God framework. ACTIVITIES

As part of our service we are scouring the internet for any and all useful resources which could be used to support the RE in your class. Although we cannot be responsible for every website we link to, we do check each link thoroughly and regularly to ensure it is appropriate. User Feedback is one way we can improve all of our services, so if you know of any excellent resources we can link to then let us know. EXTERNAL LINKS

We know that most of our users will not have time to go through every section of the website to see how it works, so we have provided a comprehensive user- guide, with supporting videos, to help you get the most out of the People of God website. As the site changes, so will the user-guide, ensuring that our users are never missing out on something that could be useful. USERGUIDE

On each and every page of the site you will find the footer. This contains the terms and conditions, as well as the privacy policy which covers the site. You will also find the feedback and contact forms. We really want to know what you have to say and part of the service we provide is having a team of people available to you for technical help or even to inform us of a spelling mistake. We want to know how we can best provide for our users, and your feedback will have a real impact on our services. FOOTER

If you need any further information or you would like to purchase a subscription, then got to and use the online contact form or the SIGN UP button. Alternatively you can contact our main office on and they will be able to put you in contact with the best person to answer your questions. CONTACT US
