Highlights AVID students are attending the following colleges in this fall: UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UCSB, Sacramento State, San Jose State, San Francisco State, and Cal State Channel Islands. Other AVID students currently attend UC Riverside, UCLA, Cal-Poly, Cal State Northridge, University of San Francisco, Westmont College, Mount St. Mary’s College, LaVerne University, and the University of Oregon. 5 AVID students were chosen as Distinguished Dons 7 AVID students received SBHS Almuni Scholarships

AVID The AVID program at Santa Barbara High School expanded this year from 8 sections to 10 sections. AVID has strong tutorial support this year from Cal-SOAP, UCSB Pathways, and the Academic Mentors Program. 2 AVID Family Nights are planned in November and February. Many AVID students are involved in extra-curricular activities including: sports, ASB, Link Crew, Future Leaders of America, and their own AVID Clubs.
