2. The Mission of AVID
The mission of AVID is to ensure that all students, and most especially students in the middle with academic potential capable of completing a college preparatory path:
will succeed in the most rigorous curriculum,
will enter mainstream activities of the school,
will increase their enrollment in four-year colleges, and
will become educated and responsible participants and leaders in a democratic society.

Taking Cornell Notes has helped me be organized and stay updated with subjects but the most important way it helped me is it keeps my grades up. AVID is a good class you could take because it would help you a lot to think on what you want to do when you finish high school.  

11. Student Reflections
Avid has been a pretty good class for me. It has really helped me stay organized for the most part. When I am organized it is easier for me to get my work done. This class also has gotten me to start thinking about the future more and realizing that I need to work harder and keep my grades up. The first semester wasn't exactly what I wanted it to be, but so far this semester I've been working harder to keep my grades up and this is mostly because of Avid.
