Organizing Folders Folders in are organized in a similar way to the files on your computer. Note: Gmail uses “labels” instead of folders.

Common Folders Inbox- Holds the s you receive. Often the default folder.

Common Folders Sent Mail- Once a message has been sent, it is stored in the Sent Mail folder.

Common Folders Drafts- messages are saved in the drafts folder until they are sent. If you need to stop writing in the middle of a message, you can always find it later in the drafts folder.

Trash- Putting a message in the trash folder gets the message ready to be deleted. Messages in the trash folder remain there for a limited number of days before the system deletes them forever.
