New this year! Schools will establish themselves using a new online tool called PearsonAccess Next (PA Next). To use PA Next, test coordinators who are listed in the Educational Entity Master (EEM) site ( should have received an with login instructions.

  College Board will determine material order based on the Pre- ID’s in the Secure Site and approved accommodations at the College Board site  Labels will be shipped to schools to be placed on student answer sheet and Student Data Questionnaire prior to the test date  There will be a small amount of overage sent to buildings. Schools must add the students into the Secure Site and then generate a label using one of the blank ones sent Pre-ID

  SDQ, Instruction Booklets, and Pre-ID Labels  These are to be completed PRIOR to the day of the test (45 minutes)  As a part of this process, students can choose to participate in the Student Search Service (optional)  Students Search Service helps connect students with colleges, universities, and scholarship opportunities that match up with students’ interests and needs  Instruction booklets must be distributed to each student  In addition to instructions, contains information about the SAT – terms and conditions Student Data Questionnaires (SDQ)

Planning for Testing Rooms, Room Set-up and Staffing Needs

  Options for Rooms....  Larger Spaces, such as auditoriums and gymnasiums  Smaller Spaces, such as Classrooms  Location of the testing rooms within the building...  Separated from other classes/tests on different schedules or taking different assessments (minimize noise and other disruptions when classes or other assessments break)  Area where there will be minimal noises/distractions from outside the building  Access to Restrooms Testing Rooms

  Face seats in the same direction.  Place chairs directly behind those in the preceding row.  Use chairs with backs.  Separate each student by a minimum of four feet from right to left (measure from center of desk).  Ensure unimpeded access to every student by staff. Seating Requirements Seating Diagrams, along with requirements avilable in Test Center Supervisor’s Manual

  Seat only one student at a table measuring six feet in length or less.  Seat students at least four feet apart and facing the same direction if tables longer than six feet are used.  Provide a large, smooth writing surface, preferably desks or tables.  Tablet-arm chairs must have a minimum writing surface of 12 x 15 inches.  Study carrels, lapboards, language laboratory booths, and tables with partitions or dividers are not acceptable Seating Requirements

 Staff cannot  Be employed by out-side test prep company  Have taken the SAT within 180 days of the administration date  Have a member of their household taking the test at any site on the same date There are allowable uses of aides, paras, substitutes and coaches for proctoring and hall monitors. Put away the calculator (some of the time).With the guidance of your child’s math teacher, help your child get in the habit of math reasoning without the use of a calculator.
