Library Rules & Procedures

Just a few Rules The library is not a place to socialize. Please use your time wisely and productively. You may eat and drink at the tables. If you make a mess, please clean it up. Please keep the library tidy. Clean your space when you leave and push in your chair. The library is a learning environment. Keep your noise level low so that others can concentrate.

Check out Procedures Students may keep books for 2 weeks. Books can be renewed 1 time only. Students will be charged a late fee of $0.05 a day for overdue books beginning the first day the book is overdue. Once a book becomes 1 week overdue, students may be issued a break detention in addition to a late fee. Students are expected to pay for lost books or materials.

Check out Procedures Certain periodicals can be checked out overnight only. Some videos can be checked out overnight only for research purposes with librarian approval. When several classes are researching in the library, certain books may be reserved for in school use only. You may reserve a book by using the online catalog or by speaking with Mrs. Day.

Check out Procedures Bring your book to the circulation desk to checkout. A self checkout station will be available for use for times Mrs. Day is occupied. Directions will be posted beside the station. PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO ENSURE PROPER CHECKOUT OF MATERIALS.

Online Card Catalog Want to know if there is a book in the library you are interested in or if a book is available for checkout? Use the Online Catalog! Can be found at Nga.lcdoe.org

Need Help? Libraries and research can be confusing. Mrs. Day is here to help you with these issues. If you have a question PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ask! That is what I am here for! All questions are good questions!

Let’s make this the best year ever!
