NEGATION Paragraphs using the negation strategy explain what something IS by showing what it IS NOT. Using negation helps to contrast your definition with others’ definitions. So… what IS NOT (or NEGATES) an iPod? (add a bubble for each)  An iPod is not a phone.  An iPod is not a laptop or PC.  An iPod is not a camera.  An iPod is not a babysitter.
