Right from the Beginning… Introduction to the Flee Map Created by Mrs. Senko Write

What is a flee map anyway? A flee map is just another type of graphic organizer. We use all sorts of different graphic organizers everyday. Venn Diagram Main idea abcde Bubble Map Tell your neighbor the name of one type of graphic organizer QUICK!!!!

Why do I need to use one? Why can’t I just write my rough draft? You need to get all your ducks in a row!

Ideas are like a hurricane in your head. Thoughts just swirl around… Great ideas pop in and then suddenly disappear… If you don’t write them down right away they may disappear for good. The flee map will help you capture the good ideas and arrange them so that your essay makes sense.

Okay so fill it out… Looks simple right? Just kidding!

The longest journey begins with a simple step.… What is the prompt asking? What is the topic of your essay? Write that informatio n right there! What are the big ideas? What are the main ideas of your essay? Write that informatio n here! And here! Step 1 - Draw a donut - aka a circle map.

Looking at your circle map, pick one big idea and write it on the line labeled Main Idea I. Find Main Idea I on your flee map.
