What is AVID Elementary?

AVID Elementary Framework Organization -Planners/agendas, binders/organizational tools, time management, goal setting WICOR -Writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, reading Student Success Skills -Speaking skills, study skills Partnerships -site, district, home, community

The Mission of AVID AVID’s mission is close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in global society. Students will be afforded the opportunity to do the following : * Succeed in rigorous curriculum, * Enter mainstream activities of the school, * Increase their enrollment in four-year colleges, * Become educated and responsible participants and leaders in a democratic society.

Vision All students will access a path to success.

Goal To ensure all students will Demonstrate writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading skills in a variety of subject areas Utilize organization skills Develop student success skills Successfully transition to the academic responsibilities and coursework of middle school
