A Grade 4 Web Quest on the Canadian Regions.

You have just graduated from university with a Travel and Tourism degree and have been hired by a local travel agency. Unfortunately tourism within Canada is declining, therefore the travel agency has been asked to prepare a presentation at the annual Travel Expo. This presentation must promote a region of Canada. The agency has given you the option of working with another travel agent to complete this assignment.

You and your partner have been asked to create a power point presentation to highlight a region within Canada to try and encourage visitors to that particular region. The completed power point will be presented at the annual Travel Expo at the end of the project. Your power point, with a maximum of 10 slides, must include the following: Physical description and location of your chosen region; Map of the region; Tourist information of your chosen region; Industries found within the region.

1.With your partner (or individually), choose a Canadian region to promote. 2.Create a title slide in Power Point. 3.Once you have decided upon a region, you will need to find a picture/clip art of your region and place it on a slide. The region must be named. 4.You must give the location of your region and describe the physical features of the region. A map must also be included. 5.Find 3-4 tourist attractions within your region. Explain the importance of each chosen attraction. These may be on one slide. 6.List 2-3 industries found within your region. Explain the importance of each chosen industry. These may be on one slide. 7.You must have a slide with a list of resources used in creating this power point, including web sites, books, magazines, and other sources of resources.
