Teacher’s Resource Objective: Upon completion of the webquest students will be able describe the celebration of Christmas in other cultures and will create a power point presentation to share with the class.

Traditions are an important part of the culture of a group of people. One of our traditions is the way we celebrate holidays, such as Christmas.

Do other countries celebrate the way we do? Do their celebrations include gifts, decorations, special music and food?

Task: Your mission is to find the following information for the country you are sent to:  Location (on a map)  Flag  Date and Name of celebration  Reason for celebration  Gifts (including who brings them)  Decorations  Special Food &/or Music

When you have explored these traditions create a power point to share with the class.

To Solve the Case: Step 1: Follow the links provided to learn the traditions of the country you have been sent to. Step 2: Take notes about the customs you will need to report on. Step 3: Create a power point to share with the class which explains each of the areas listed. Step 4: Your power point should have at lease 8 slides: a title slide, an introductory slide, five or more slides describing the customs and a concluding slide.
