On June 6, 2013 Governor Shumlin signed Flexible Pathways bill (S.130/Act77):S.130/Act77 Expand: HS/College Dual Enrollment (ex. VT--NY) – VT: 2 free courses prior to graduation Expand: Early College Programs (ex. VAST) Increase access: work-based learning (ex. CBL) Increase: virtual/blended learning opportunities Increase access: Career &Technical Education Implement: Personalized Learning Plans (PLPs)

Personal Learning Plans (PLPs) Every student grades 7-12 have personalized learning planning: (Required Nov for 7 th /9 th and Dual Enrolled) – identify emerging abilities, disposition, etc.; – includes participation by engaged adults; – guides decisions… course offerings, and other high-quality educational experiences.
